Nowadays, children are spending an average of seven hours a day on entertainment media, including televisions, computers, phones and other electronic devices. However, the increased media coverage also results in greater exposure to media violence.
This project is designed to raise awareness among working parents about video game violence. A series of websites are designed to assist the parents to know more about their children's media and an imaginative organization named "know children's media" is created. Parents are able to search different video games online and get reviews and suggestions on the suitability of such games for underaged children. Weekly email advertisement is also designed as another way to alert parents about newly released video games and their corresponding ratings.
The secondary page showing individual video game provides information on game rating, age suggestion, violent acts warning and comments from other game players and parents.
